About me
A leader, teacher, and community organizer with over 20 years of experience in peacemaking, social justice, protest, and accompaniment.
A leader, teacher, and community organizer with over 20 years of experience in peacemaking, social justice, protest, and accompaniment.
For more than two decades, I've served as a pastor, teacher, organizer, and writer, working at the intersection of faith, justice, ecology, and collective liberation. My ministry has included congregational leadership, community organizing, public witness, education, accompaniment, and collaborative writing.
As a solo pastor in Oregon and Colorado, I've led congregations through worship, preaching, pastoral care, and community engagement. My work has included year-long series on food justice, ecotheology, and Indigenous wisdom, historical-critical Bible studies, refugee accompaniment, and community meal programs rooted in mutual care and advocacy.
Beyond congregational ministry, my work has focused on climate justice, peacemaking, solidarity, and accompaniment.
The cool stuff includes:
Founder and Lead Organizer of the SEED Cohort, supporting communities facing climate anxiety through education, grief work, resilience-building, and mutual aid.
Core Team Member with Barbie's Village, supporting the Land Back movement and the transfer of church land into Indigenous stewardship.
Street Chaplain with Pacific Northwest Family Circle, providing spiritual care and advocacy alongside families impacted by police violence.
Moderator of the Presbyterian Peace Fellowship, helping lead national peacemaking initiatives and participating in delegations to Israel/Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Standing Rock, Colombia, and the U.S.–Mexico border.
I've led workshops and retreats for churches, nonprofits, and community organizations on topics including biblical criticism, ecotheology, nonviolent civil disobedience, climate justice, and the history of policing. My writing and collaborative projects seek to connect faith with practical action toward justice and repair.
